next season!

Social posts and found objects have a lot in common: they both possess stories waiting to be told. Our job as storytellers during this workshop is to reclaim narratives and found objects to develop a short piece of writing about how a found object of your choice was misplaced. Imagine the stories behind the objects that have been left behind—who was the original owner? How was the object misplaced? How has the owner gotten by without it?

Join us for two zany hours, designed to engage students in the research and writing process, explore the art of storytelling, and draft an original joke or two! We’ll also think about how other kinds of things get lost—not just physical objects, but ideas or messages or words. We’ll find some old material, lost long ago on the internet, and think about the humor that can come from an old object found again in the new place.
