What To Expect
Students bring unfinished homework or school assignments to each session and are paired with volunteers in a safe, supportive, learning environment. Through individualized support, students strengthen their academic engagement. The individualized attention of volunteers improves students’ self confidence and encourages them to be socially invested in a community of learning.
This is a homework-based program. If you’re interested in participating in 826michigan programs, but your student does not have homework regularly, please check out our After-School Writing Lab.
NOTE: Our After-school Tutoring Program is offered in person at the Ypsilanti District Library-Michigan Ave Branch, and also at our center in downtown Ann Arbor. After registration, you will receive a confirmation email with additional details. Please allow at least four business days for your registration to process.
