Join us for two one-of-a-kind art experiences!
Help 826michigan and the University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA) celebrate five years of partnership! Each year, every third grader in the Ypsilanti Community Schools district gets an in-school visit and a field trip to the museum. During these transformative workshops, we teach Ypsilanti third graders how to “jump into” a piece of art and write about their experience there.
So jump IN! Ann Arbor is teeming with public art displays, right? Let’s honor these bright young minds by showcasing the art that is, literally, all around us with our first-ever Street Art Bingo Challenge.
How does it work? We’re so glad you asked.
Then, join us on Thursday, May 11, at UMMA for student readings by 826michigan’s amazing students right next to the artworks that inspired them, art-making activities for all ages, and yummy eats! This event is free and open to the public! Find more info here.
And of course there’s an after party! Find out details about The After Party here.
