Help 826michigan and the University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA) celebrate six years of partnership!

Each year, every third grader in the Ypsilanti Community Schools district gets an in-school visit and a field trip to the art museum at the University of Michigan. The visit includes transformative workshops where we teach Ypsilanti third graders how to “jump into” a piece of art and write about their experience there.

Free Pizza, Veggies, Fruit, and Cookies!

Transportation Options

Drive and Park: Free parking will be available at the Thompson Street Parking Garage starting at 5:00 p.m.

Three minute walk to the art museum.

 

Take a Shuttle Bus: We are offering two free shuttle buses from Ypsilanti schools directly to the museum.
All families are invited to take the shuttle most convenient for them.

YIES Shuttle
Departs YIES parking lot at 4:55 p.m.

Estabrook Shuttle
Departs Estabrook parking lot at 4:55 p.m.

Shuttles will leave the Museum at 7:30 p.m. to return you to your starting location.
