Volunteering with 826michigan is a powerful way to have an impact on your local community.
Our programs are designed to offer students and families consistent support in partnership with trained volunteers, so we typically only offer individual, long-term volunteer opportunities. However, there are still several ways for you and your team to get involved at 826michigan.

Group Volunteering
We can occasionally organize a volunteer opportunity for a group, especially if the group volunteer project is not student-centric. Opportunities like these are available sporadically so we can’t ensure that we’ll be ready with such a project when your group is ready to serve.
If you’d like to explore whether your circumstances would be a fit for this kind of service, please email Volunteer & Program Coordinator Eli Sparkman.
In-Kind Contributions
We accept a variety of in-kind contributions and are very grateful for your consideration. We always accept these items and can promise to put them to good use right away.
If you’d like to arrange a supply drive with your office and need to schedule a drop-off, please email Operations Director Kinyel Friday.

Event Sponsorship
826michigan hosts several events throughout the calendar year. Show your support for 826michigan and the students we serve with an event sponsorship. Sponsorship opportunities are available at a variety of budget-friendly options.
Corporate Philanthropy
826michigan relies on the generosity of corporate and community partners and friends to keep our writing and literacy programs free and open to all students in the communities we serve. Your organization can make a one-time or sustaining, monthly gift here.
If your company has a matching gift program, you can make twice the impact!
