A FREE weekly program for students to explore their creativity through writing.
Through breakout rooms, students are supported by volunteers as they brainstorm, write, revise, share, and publish their writing. Each week we focus on a different habit of writers (such as writers make plans… and change them).
About After-school Writing Lab

What to Expect
Students work in small groups with volunteers in a safe and supportive environment for writing. Through collaborative writing exercises and time for individual writing projects, students draft an original story for publication at the end of the semester.
A Tiptoe From the Shadows
In the summer of 2021, our fearless and friendly group of writers and volunteers embarked on an 8-week virtual journey together. Each writer composed their own story with feeling, description, an interesting setting, and unique characters. We also wrote a story all together.
