Once We Stopped Crying, We Realized Maybe It Wouldn’t Be So Bad to Have the Day Off

We’re really onto something with the drop-in writing time. Some of you know this more fully than others, for example, the huge mob of people waiting outside of 826 for us on Tuesday when we pulled into the parking lot after teaching a workshop in Ypsilanti. So, it is with great sadness that we tell you there will be no drop-in this coming Tuesday.

Hey, it’s the fourth of July, and while I can’t think of anything more patriotic than sitting around writing with a bunch of creative people, well, things like sleeping late, having a picnic, going sailing, watching fireworks, going to a parade, swimming, dancing with sparklers, laying around, and any number of other activies sound pretty good too.

Fear not, drop-in will return on Tuesday, July 11.

Also, everybody calm down! Yes, we are looking for a new executive director. No, this does not mean that Erin is leaving. Erin is not leaving! (I shudder to think what would happen if she did.) We’re just shifting some things around…
