This may well be your final reminder: This Sunday, October 29, 826 hosts Revenge of the Book Eaters, our fall fundraiser. After many hours of “coordinating things” (it turns out pulling off an event of this magnitude involves a lot of coordination, luckily not being coordinated, as I have no depth perception), the proverbial curtain is almost set to rise.
Join us at Eastern Michigan University’s Pease Auditorium this Sunday at 6:30pm to be regaled with hilarious tales, mind blowing music, and maybe even a surprise or two. Dave Eggers, Pavement frontman Stephen Malkmus, Cowboy Junkies, Davy Rothbart, Dan John Miller, Julie Orringer & Ryan Harty, and emcee Martin Bandyke: what a line-up! We’ve also rented out the Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti for an exclusive afterparty where you can hang out with the performers and get Dave Eggers’ new book, What is the What, (three days before it’s available to the public!), as well as books from our other acts.
