Want More Reasons to Visit 826michigan? (Of course you do.)

If you’re reading this, chances are you’re pretty cool. I mean, you’re clearly knowledgeable about stellar nonprofit organizations, you definitely love kids and writing, and you might even be a volunteer, which means it’s safe to say that you occupy the upper echelon of cool. And if you’re like me, you probably spend a lot of time sitting around thinking to yourself, “How can I make myself even cooler?” (If you’re really like me, you do this in your underwear while you watch rerun after rerun of Magnum P.I.). Well, friend, today is your lucky day, because boy, do we have something cool for you:

826michigan T-SHIRTS!!!

You can finally breathe a sigh of relief! No longer do you have to search for that super-rare, out-of-print Muppets Sing The Blues record to affirm your coolness; no longer do you have to show up at all the coolest concerts and act like you’re having as little fun as possible in order to be hip! No, my friend, all you have to do is stop on by 826michigan, slap down $12 if you’re a young monster or $15 if you’re a big monster, and voila – you’re now the coolest monster in the cave! Just to give you an idea of exactly how awesome an 826michigan t-shirt can make you look, check out our intern Ryan and tutoring regular Mohammed trying to maintain a semblance of control as they are literally being consumed by cool:

In other news, while you’re here picking up your latest fashion accessory (the 826mi t-shirt, not a lock of Amy or Erin’s hair, please), you might want to check out our newly redesigned lab. I’d post a picture of our old lab for comparison, but the colors may very well cause you to suffer some kind of horrible seizure. Just trust us when we say that the old lab resembled some kind of twisted, dictatorial preschool teacher’s experiment in over-stimulation. The new lab, however, is as bearable as it is colorful. Brave young sailors of the Great Lakes will feel at home in the cool sea and sky blues; beach bums will languish in the sandy khaki; oh, and maybe some eager young minds will learn a thing or two while they’re here as well. Whether you’re young or old, stop on by to check out our new colors here at 826michigan! And thanks to 826Chicago for the inspiration for the stripes!
