Run, Robots! 826michigan at the 2018 Probility Ann Arbor Marathon

March 7, 2018 | 826 Blog Post

Help us reach our goal! Donate today and join us this Sunday to cheer on the runners –
we’ll be at the Mile 1 Aid Station!

826michigan is a high-energy, high-speed organization providing writing and tutoring programs to thousands of students, and our young authors are experts on running. Austin, a second grader, will tell you that running is the only way to escape from a saber-tooth bunny heading your way. Lauren, 12, wrote that Michigan got its shape when the Great Lakes had a race and each lake fell down in its forever place.

It’s only appropriate that 826michigan has been selected as one of the four nonprofits featured in the 2018 Ann Arbor Probility Marathon on Sunday, May 20. We need YOU on race day!

Want to keep our robots running? Thank you! Here are ways you can help:

  • Volunteer! We’re assembling a small-but-mighty team of volunteers to help us on race day. If you are interested, please fill out this brief Google form!
  • Donate directly to our marathon page here!
  • Running the marathon yourself? We look forward to cheering you on! Consider selecting 826michigan when you sign up and help us meet our $7,500 fundraising goal. You can even invite your friends to donate in honor of your participation! Whether taking on your first 5K or competing in the full marathon, every dollar directly impacts our hard working students and supports the efforts of our committed corps of volunteers.

Every dollar you give and every mile you run keeps young imaginations running and pencils moving.
