Send in the Interns!

August 15, 2007 | 826 Blog Post

As we gear up for tomorrow night’s joy-marries-sadness going-away dinner for our amazing summer interns, we are inundated with emotions: Weren’t they the best? Wow, they helped us out so much this summer! What an incredible group of interns! I can’t believe they’re leaving. Wait! They’re leaving? WHAT? WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO NOW????

Which leads us to: 826michigan is looking for a few good interns for our fall semester. Internships generally last for three months, and involve 15-20 hours a week. Internship positions may include: administrative work, teaching students, research, cleaning bathrooms, working in classrooms, ambassadorial duties, and roughly a billion-and-one other things. Internships may also involve: putting out fires (figurative and literal), saving the lives of staff members in any number of ways (figurative), and being showered with compliments (literal). If you’re really good, we’ll even take you out to dinner at the end of it.

Are 826michigan internships challenging? Will they be chock-full of stuff that makes you feel good about yourself? Do they look great on a resume? Will they give you a greater understanding of the world at large? Yes, yes, yes, and we-sure-hope-so!

Please email your resume and a cover letter to Amanda.
