We Control The Weather But We Don’t Control The Weathermen

December 13, 2005 | 826 Blog Post

It’s been just six short days since we unveiled the new 826michigan Workshop Schedule, and the results have been palpable! Not only are the
classes filling up quickly, but the excitement generated by them has
actually had an effect on the weather itself! We posted our schedule,
parents began to call, and it started snowing!

Coincidence?

Some meteorologists might say, “yes, of course! It’s winter! What did you
expect?? Who are you and why do you keep calling me??” These are the
merely the ramblings of a man peering so closely at forecasts, accu-views
and dual-dopplers that he fails to see very simple truths of the universe.
Pity him.

I say that we’ve somehow seeded the clouds with our very enthusiasm!
They couldn’t support the amount of pure love that we sent their way, so
they returned it in the form of snow. (Try not to hold that against us as
you shovel your walks and driveways in the months ahead. We’re really
sorry.)

BUT HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR THESE FABULOUS WEATHER-ALTERING WORKSHOPS??
To register by phone, call us at 761-3463. If you are directed to voicemail,
please leave your name, contact information (phone and/or email), and the
workshop(s) that you’re interested in.

You can also register using our online forms, found on the above-mentioned
and much-ballyhooed Workshop Schedule page.

If you leave a message or submit online, we will call or e-mail you to
confirm your reservation. Students are registered on a first-come,
first-served basis, and space is limited. For that reason, we ask that each
student register for only two workshops per schedule.

Questions? Comments? Quips? We can easily be contacted by looking into the
smiling faces of bright-eyed youngsters everywhere. (E-mail or telephone
communiqués will also probably work in a pinch.)
