Why Shouldn't Adults Be Able to Take Engaging Workshops Too?

August 17, 2007 | 826 Blog Post

We hear a lot of things from our volunteers, and parents, and people in the community. One of the things we hear most is: I wish I had a place like 826michigan when I was a kid. Unfortunately, we can’t travel back in time. We can, however, offer workshops for adults once in a while!

And so, it is with great excitement that we ask: Have you written a children’s book? Have you thought about starting one? Our workshop, “Developing and Publishing Your Illustrated Book for Children”, will tell you everything you need to know! From conceptualizing and writing it to shopping it around and publishing it, this day-long seminar will prepare you for the journey ahead. The full day includes two writing workshops and a panel discussion including a variety of publishers, teachers, writers, and more. For more details, go here.
